Team Tobatí and the Colegio Privado Reinaldo Macchi have grown up together, but they didn't start on the same day.
1998
Team Tobatí is Founded
A passionate high school Spanish teacher joins forces with motivated students to launch a service trip to Tobatí.1999
The March Trip is Born
The first students from Kingswood Oxford High School in Connecticut start a tradition that will be carried on for decades to come. These early community infrastructure constructions were, and still are, vital contributions.2002-2003
The Macchi School is Built
Team Tobatí builds and begins its partnership with the Colegio Privado Reinaldo Macchi with the hopes of bringing high quality education to Tobatí.2008 — 2010
Opening the Door
Team Tobatí constructs additional classrooms, allowing the Macchi School to serve more grades with each passing year.2010
The First Graduating Class Enters the World
Fourteen Macchi students become the first alumni to graduate.Present Day
The School Grows, the Partnership Deepens
The Macchi School now serves 96 students across grades 7-12, staffed by Paraguayan educators, while the March trip keeps a new generation of U.S. students connected to Tobatí.
