Every March, U.S. high school students travel to Tobatí to live, work, and build relationships among the community.
What it is
A week that changes both sides
The March Trip brings a group of U.S. high school students to Tobatí for 8 days, where they work in the local community on service projects, share meals and free time together, and build the kinds of relationships that outlast the trip itself.
U.S. and Tobatí students learn from each other, share experiences, and benefit from cultural exchange. The same is true for Team Tobatí and the Colegio Macchi — both sides continuously learn and benefit from each other through the practice of intercultural collaboration.

While You're There
What Students Actually Do
Our youth volunteers work on projects ranging from local school contructions, to new parks and plazas, to clinic and medical outpost constructions.
Work in the Community
Connect with Macchi School Students
Shared meals, sports (soccer is a favorite), and cultural presentations are built into every trip. The relationships are just as important as the projects!
Learn the town, not just the school
Trip time includes getting to know the town and district of Tobatí itself through hikes, quality time with host families, and excursions that highlight local life and culture.
